Darrel Armstrong

Darrel ArmstrongDarrel Armstrong Brule, NE NEBCO Beet Growers Association Darrel met his future wife, Darlene,  in elementary school. They were married in college and have been married for more than 45 years. They have four children and twelve grandchildren. Following college, they taught school for five years at the high school level before they returned to the family farm in Western Nebraska. They farm with their son, who is also their managing partner, raising sugarbeets, corn, alfalfa, soy beans, winter wheat and cattle. Darrel and his wife are the 2nd generation on this farm; their farming lineage, however, goes back many generations. Darrel’s hobbies include hunting, trap shooting and community service. He is currently serving on four Boards in addition to the ASGA Board (member since 2014). Darrel is currently serving on the following committees – Finance, International Affairs, Legislative and Biotech. Darrel and Darlene enjoy singing in community cantatas and performing yearly in the Ash Hollow Pageant, which is a fundraiser for the local chapter of Volunteers of America.]]>
