Charlie Bauer
Charlie started farming with his dad and two brothers in 1972 when he graduated from Reese High. He has been married to his wife Terri for more than 36 years. They have a daughter (Kelly and her husband Erik ) and a son (Adam and his wife Katie) as well as 3 grandchildren (Hannah, Brady, and Harper). Today Charlie farms 6500 acres with his two brothers, his son and two nephews growing of sugarbeets, pickles, dry beans, and corn. Charlie was on the Carrolton Growers Association where he served as its President for several years. He was on the Steering Committee for the formation of the Michigan Sugar Company Cooperative and served on the District Grower Board until 2005 when he was elected to the Co-op Board. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Co-op and serves on their Grower Relations Committee. Charlie has been on the ASGA Board since 2008 and is currently Vice Chairman of the ASGA Public Relations Committee. He also serves on the Executive and Meetings Committees. Charlie is also a member of the Sugar Association in Washington DC. Charlie has served on several Boards at St Michaels Lutheran Church in Richville.]]>
