Summer Board of Directors meeting is usually held in mid-July in areas close to sugarbeet-producing areas. In 2003 the meeting was held in Billings, MT; in 2004 – Fargo, ND; 2005 – Washington, DC; 2006 – Bay City, MI; 2007 & 2008 – Washington, DC; 2009 – Minneapolis, MN; 2010 – Bay City, MI; 2011 & 2012 – Washington, DC; 2013 – Napa Valley, CA; 2014 – Twin Falls, ID; 2015 – Washington, DC

The Fall Board of Directors meeting is held mid-November and is usually held in Las Vegas or New Orleans.   Other past locations have been New York, St. Louis and Denver.

AMERICAN SUGARBEET GROWERS ASSOCIATION

The American Sugarbeet Growers Association is a national trade association representing 10,000 owners and operators of family farms. State and regional associations are located in 11 states: California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

Annual Meeting attendees are primarily the officers and board members of these local associations and their spouses, as well as representatives of seed, chemical, and other supplier companies. The total attendance averages 350. The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to bring members up-to-date on legislative and international issues that affect the domestic sugar industry, and to determine future policy and strategies.
